This wonderful, beautiful journey we call life, is also incredibly painful at times. During those times, engaging in the therapy process can be helpful in a number of ways: it provides the opportunity for healing acceptance, connection, and support; it offers the chance to learn skills to address thoughts, feelings, and behaviors that we find distressing; and it is a place to find our 'why,' our sense of meaning and purpose, which can help us enrich our lives.

In addition to CBT and CBT-Enhanced (a treatment specifically for eating disorders), I utilize the philosophy and principles of Acceptance and Commitment Therapy (ACT). The goal of ACT is to help create a rich, full, and meaningful life, while effectively handling the pain and stress that life inevitably brings.

Seeking help is hard. It can be scary to think about sharing your struggles with a stranger, even a mental health provider. This process takes courage and it's important that you find a provider that is a good fit for you. If you think I might be that person, I welcome you to contact me so we can talk about your specific needs and how I may be able to help.

"Those who have a 'why' to live, can bear with almost any how."

~Viktor Frankl

Unfortunately, I am not accepting new clients at this time, nor am I able to add any additional people to my waitlist.  I know it can be difficult to find providers that are taking new clients at this time, but I hope you are able to find someone that is a good fit and that is able to meet your needs.
